Finish Line: Aiming to give brands an alternative to costly event sponsorships, a social network in the Philippines is connecting brands with runners for exclusive freebies and promotion. Runners sign up on the network and wear their user name on their race bibs – After the race, the network’s partner brands will give the runners a bag of goodies.

Nude Wader: Last week, visitors to the site of French retailer La Redoute, saw a naked man wading in the water in a photo advertising kids clothing; this inspired a “nude wader” meme. This week, a competitor of La Redoute, 3 Suisses took the nude wader and put one of their own swimsuits on him – highlighting their product and sense of humor!
