Trusting the Twilight Twitter?

Yeah, I didn’t think I was the only one…

Created yesterday, fans are quickly growing as the word gets out about the hopefully legitimate Twilight Twitter account. Although it is not a verified account, Summit Entertainment (the studio releasing the upcoming Twilight movie) is listed as the creator and Chris Weitz, director of the Twilight movies, has twittered a few times.

Thanks to @Twilight, I now know that the soundtrack is being released early and I can watch yet another preview from the upcoming movie, New Moon, on Entertainment Tonight and iTunes! You know where my DVR will be set!

As Twilight fans are pretty fanatical, myself being one, I’m just waiting to see how quickly this group grows - the account gained over 55,000 followers over the course of 24 hours, with its tweets being retweeted constantly. I wonder, am I going to get the Fail Whale page every time I check Twitter, especially around November 20th? Let’s see if Twitter can withstand the Twilight Twitterers!
