Thoughts on public relations, social media and trendspotting from the M Booth Digisquad

ABOVE: Fabric Sun-print: If you couldn’t have guessed, growing up I was a huge fan on sun prints. So to my delight is this Kickstarter project, Lumi, an app and a dye that makes it possible to print on fabric using your phone and the sunlight.

Facebook Makeup: Yves Saint Laurent is creating a fans-only makeup palette for its Facebook followers. They are only making 1650 and will only be sold to people who “like” the brand on Facebook. The makeup palette is includes a Facebook blue. I was just thinking this morning how I am not a fan of blue eye shadow, but this gives it some street cred.

Food for Thought: In Australia, Microsoft launched a campaign that aims to capture people’s thoughts on solving world problems. They are going across Sydney “selling” food – the payment? An idea on how to fix the issues going on across the globe. And, for every idea they get, a donation will be made to the World Food Bank.
